1. The Museum of Idaho

In our History Room, you will find plenty of intriguing artifacts, flags, the first ever light bulb that was powered by nuclear energy, and even an olden day school house that was first built in 1882 in Eagle Rock. There is also a room dedicated to science and political adventures with much information about how nuclear energy came about, as well as the nuclear navy. 2. The Idaho Falls Zoo

The Idaho Falls Zoo is located at Tautphaus Park. This Zoo showcases a variety of exhibitions of various countries including Africa, Australia, South America, Asia, New Guinea, and North America. There is even an exhibition for the children to enjoy. The Zoo also offers many different programs for various ages including: youth, adult, family and school groups. Whilst here, visitors can also participate and view our daily events throughout the year. These include penguin feeding, keeper chats and animal encounter shows. 3. The Japanese Pavilion

This Japanese Pavilion has been rated as an excellent place to visit. This gem is designed to promote friendship and understanding with our international friends. Every few years, there are students who visit this place from Japan and stay with their American friends in the area for a week. The Japanese Pavilion is a Japanese garden. Several interesting buildings have been built within the garden that are well worth coming to see. Many of these buildings come with a lot of history. 4. The Tautphaus Park

The Tautphaus Park is sure to keep your children occupied for hours. Here you will find an amazing playground which is sure to keep the children there for hours. There is also plenty of shelter and picnic tables available. In fact, you will even see some truly unique toys in the playground area that include music, sound and lights. There are also suitable bathrooms scattered around the park for your convenience. Visitors will be pleased to know there are several different play areas. a skate park, tennis, softball and baseball fields are also available for use. Not to mention horseshoe pits. Until the middle part of the 20th century, Idaho Falls was almost exclusively an agriculture based community. This changed when the Idaho National Laboratory opened. The lab created the need for people with higher educations and more technical job skills.
It has been rated one of the best “small” cities in that nation to live and work. Idaho falls boasts a population of approximately 60,000.

The city has experienced tremendous job growth in the past 10 years. There is a great need for workers, especially in the the medical, restaurant and hospitality fields.
